Designed and developed in 2006 by previous Woodcut owner, Peter Hewitt in collaboration with New Zealand turner Terry Scott. The Pro-Mount was designed to be more than a carving stand.
Designed to provide woodturners with the ability to screw a freshly turned bowl directly onto the Pro-Mount for embellishment and decoration while the bowl is held safely in the jaws of the chuck. Then enabling the piece to be returned to the lathe for completion. Alternatively you can attach your work to the carving plate if lathe work is not required.
Providing further features the Pro-Mount Spindle has a hole through the centre and a 1/4" BSP thread at its base for an airline fitting. This gives the option of using a vacuum chuck as a means of work holding.
